What's Green?

Eco-mellow pest control, as in beneficial insects, traps, barriers, repellents, soaps, oils and all manner of natural solutions. The goal is to develop a balanced/diverse ecosystem in your garden, to provide natural pest and annoyance regulation. All of our products are safe for you, your kids, your pets and our collective environment.

The scoop on recycling plastic pots and why we need your help: While it is the right thing to do, recycling planting pots is costly. For the recyclers, the machinery is expensive, the work is dirty, hard on employees and spews dust everywhere. The garden stores foot the bill for sorting and delivering the pots. Please do your part by returning pots free of dirt and debris and stacked according to size and shape. That way we won't end up with a crazy pile that we have to pay someone to sort. We'll chip in the delivery charge for getting them to Savage.

What's Grown?

As we've moved things around the store this midsummer, we've all commented on the interesting selection of plants that late June and July often brings. No it's not the blitz of early May, but it's a slower, more thoughtful meander around the store. You can really consider all the options for your shady front (or back) yard, rejuvenate your containers with some decadent tropicals, or just look around and think. We carry annuals all season, and continue to add to our selection of trees, shrubs and perennials until you just can't plant another thing.

What are the goods?

Water, water, water. Wish it would rain. But we have great options for when it doesn't: All rubber Dramm hoses, great spray heads, a new recycled plastic perennial sprinkler, soaker hoses for those of us who cannot bear to move the sprinkler one more time, and timers to turn everything off so you don't soak your basement, too. Don't forget the birds! They need fresh water in their bird-baths this time of year.

If you are looking for a garden center specializing in organic gardening, sustainably grown plants and eco-friendly products, you've found the place!

We've got a great selection of natives, including native trees and shrubs, beneficial insects, and an interesting variety of locally made gifts and garden decor. (Call for Artists!)

In the spring and summer, we sell organic seeds, vegetables and herbs, and are becoming known as the place to go for sustainably grown and knock-your-socks-off annuals and perennials. We're open year round, with pumpkins and funky decor for Halloween, natural Christmas trees, handmade swags and wreaths for the holidays, and other unique and beautiful products all the time.

We happily accept plastic planting pots for recycling. Please return pots free of dirt and debris, and stacked according to size and shape. To make this work for us all, we need to work communally. Hover over Green to learn the back story.
